Gift Ideas in Kansas and Missouri
Farm Visit – If you call Kansas City home, then there are some fun ways to celebrate Dad this year. Consider venturing out to one of the many U-Pick farms around the greater city area and pick some delicious fruit for a special Father’s Day breakfast. Get the kids involved and have them help make pancakes or Dad’s favorite muffins for breakfast to make this a family affair.
Science Fun – If the Dad in your family is interested in science, then head over to the Playful Kinetics exhibit that is up through the summer at Paradise Park in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Featuring incredible displays from Dave Eames, the incredible 3D art-kinetic displays are sure to entertain everyone for a couple of hours. Afterward, head out for a burger lunch or picnic in the park to make it fun outside day.
Food – For a real food treat, consider taking Dad out for a delicious steak dinner at one of the many great steakhouses in Kansas City or stop by a local restaurant in Overland Park, Wichita, or Downtown Kansas City for a bottomless beer brunch with summer favorites like bbq, waffles, and more to start the day off right.
Fun for the whole family – Got a Dad who is a father to little ones? Then visit the zoo for a special Father’s Day treat and take a picnic for afterward so the kids can run around and get all of that energy out to make for a quieter evening. Or ask Dad what his favorite foods are and plan a family-style meal for the evening, even if it means eating waffles and sausage for dinner.
Sports Night – Finally, if the budget allows looking for a game to treat the Dad in your life. Whether it’s pro or a local league, it’s sure to be a good time. Plus, when you add in some popcorn or some cold watermelon on a summer night, it’s hard not to smile and have a great time.
