Position Open: As Needed Home Study Case Worker

 

Agency: Adoption & Beyond is a nonprofit, licensed child-placing agency located in the Kansas City Metro Area, serving the entire state of Kansas & Missouri, and an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Qualifications: Licensed Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university or Licensed Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling from an accredited college or university. Professional adoption experience is not required.

 

Job Description: Conduct Domestic and International Adoptive Home Studies, Addendums, Updates and Post-Placement Reports and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate should understand adoption and have a belief that adoption is a viable option for women to consider when facing an unplanned pregnancy. Mandatory Requirements: Professional, friendly, approachable, caring, excellent communication (written/spoken), rapport building, diplomatic, motivated, reliable, resourceful, work independently, and be of good character as evidenced by character references. Sensitive to clients’ needs, well organized, capacity to set priorities, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with accurate attention to details. To prove your attention to detail, in your letter of interest, please include your adoption philosophy. Must reflect sensitivity, respect, and understanding of people from different races, cultures, and backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.

 

Hours: As needed contract employee working from home, with field work required, including evening and weekend availability. Ideal for someone who works full-time and wants to pick up a side job.  Candidate must have their own safe and reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and car insurance with $100,000 liability.

 

Pay Rate: $23.84 to $26.66/hour based on education, relevant experience, and level of licensing. Benefits provided- flexible work schedule, mileage from home to work related visits and an annual stipend for continuing education units.
