Position Open: Part-time Office Coordinator
Description: Provide administrative support for the daily activities of a small non-profit adoption agency.
Agency: Adoption & Beyond, Inc., is a non-profit licensed child placement agency who works with all families regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation/identity.
Qualifications: High School Diploma, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Possesses quality telephone etiquette, amiable working relationships and maintains confidentiality. Strong organizational skills a must, dependable and able to work independently. Good at prioritizing competing tasks and taking initiative. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and a willingness and ability to learn other software specific to agency.
Responsibilities: Major responsibilities include: 1) Assisting the Executive Director and caseworkers; 2) Answer client questions related to home study, post-placement/post-adoption process 3) Process client’s paperwork related to the home study and adoption process 4) Administrative tasks such as: supervising volunteers, notary public, website updates, social media management, invoicing, payments, order office supplies and organize special events; 5) Receptionist duties: Maintain database, answer and return calls, create and modify forms, process mail, filing, run errands as needed, other duties as they arise or assigned and efficiently maintain the office.
Mandatory Requirements: Must be friendly, enthusiastic, diplomatic, compassionate to client needs, patient, adaptable to change, trustworthy, well organized, keeps work space tidy, accurate with attention to details, the ability to provide and accept feedback and has the capacity to work under pressure. Must reflect sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the agency’s service population. In addition, you must participate in extensive orientation and training within the first thirty (30) days.
Type: Part-time, non-exempt employee 20-25 hours a week. Preferred work schedule 9 am to 3 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 30-60 min. of remote work on Tuesday and Thursday.
Compensation: Starts at $17.00 – $18.00 per hour with opportunity for advancement. Mileage reimbursement for job related errands. Great work-life balance, with flexible work schedule and paid holidays.

NOTE: This position is open to licensed social workers as well. If a social worker applies the job responsibilities and pay would be adjusted accordingly.
