Having some trouble figuring out how to talk to your children about adoption?
Adoption Learning Center is hosting a Live Webinar on July 8, 2014 about how to have the adoption talk with your biological and/or adopted children. Here’s an excerpt from the webinar’s information page:
“You know talking about adoption is important — but sometimes life isn’t that agreeable. A complicated story, a lack of facts or information that’s hard to share with your child can make talking about adoption really tough.
Join Jayne Schooler as she discusses how to tackle tough talks when:
- Kids don’t want to talk
- Siblings have different stories and different amounts of information
- You don’t have enough information to answer questions
- You have biological kids AND adopted kids
Our expert will be joined by Carmen Knight an adult adopted person. Carmen will give real life example of how her parents incorporated adoption into her life – even when it wasn’t an easy task.”
The webinar will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 7:00 PM Central, with Q&A to follow at 8:00 PM.
If you decide to take advantage of this learning opportunity, then we hope you enjoy it!
