Purpose Over Profit
Support for All
We Exist to Help.
As a non-profit agency, we measure success in families, not fees. Our domestic infant adoption program offers broader connections than for-profit agencies, with fewer unnecessary delays, all-inclusive pricing, and a team motivated to make everything easier—all the way from home study to holding your baby!
What You Can Expect.
We care about one thing: ensuring every child has the loving family they deserve. Sometimes that means walking with adoptive parents from start to finish. Other times, it means pointing you to trusted professionals when that’s in your best interest.
1. Apply to Our Program
The first step is simple: fill out our short application. This helps us ensure our program is the right fit for your family and your goals. If it is, we’ll move forward right away. If we believe another route could serve you better, we’ll point you in that direction instead.
Cost: $950 (refunded if we conclude we aren’t the right fit for you)
2. Be Found by Birth Parents
Once your application is approved, you’ll officially join our domestic infant adoption program. Your fee at this stage includes a personal adoption coordinator to guide you, a professionally designed profile book, your own adoption website, blog, and custom video, plus 24/7 online exposure on our site and—most importantly—through at least four other matching sources we trust. This variety is the key factor in being chosen faster.
Cost: $4950 (waived if home study is completed with us)
3. Say "Yes!" to Your Match
If an expectant mom who aligns with your criteria chooses your family through our agency, we’ll arrange a match meeting so you can get to know each other and begin building trust. We’ll share her self-reported medical and social history, help her create a hospital plan, and coordinate with attorneys to ensure everything is ready for placement. Your fee at this stage also covers her pregnancy-related living expenses so you can plan your placement without worrying about unexpected costs.
Cost: $16,000 (50% refund if the match doesn’t result in adoption)
4. Finalize Your Adoption
When your baby is born, we work with hospital staff to ensure the plan is followed and everyone feels supported. We coordinate the signing of adoption paperwork, represent you in court hearings, and provide the birth family with grief support, case management, six weeks of postpartum living expenses, and access to a supportive community. You’ll also have lifelong access to our team for guidance, resources, and support as your little one grows.
Cost: $16,000 (refundable if the adoption is not finalized)
We Don’t Only Support Your Family.
You’ve probably noticed that, in every step of our process, we care for expecting birth parents as much as we care for your family. Adoption is about a child’s future, and the surest way to give them the best one possible is to care for every person in their story.
Beyond what your investment delivers for you, it offers birth parents compassion, respect, and practical help, before and long after the placement. When they are informed, supported, and treated with dignity, it creates a healthier adoption for them, for you, and for the child you’ll forever be connected through.
Which Type of Adoption Is Right for You?
Some families pursue domestic infant adoption—our area of expertise—while others choose options like foster care adoption, international adoption, embryo adoption, or self-networking/private adoption.
If you’re not sure which path is right for you, we can help you explore the possibilities. Start with our quick quiz to see which type of adoption best fits your family’s goals and circumstances.

Why do you connect us with multiple matching sources?
We don’t believe in putting all your eggs in one basket. Instead of possibly sitting on a single waitlist for years, we help you connect with several trusted adoption professionals at the same time. This increases your chances of being chosen and can significantly shorten your wait.
Many large agencies charge extremely high fees because they spend heavily on nationwide advertising to attract expectant parents—a cost that’s built into every adoption and helps them keep their own waitlists moving. By partnering with a variety of professionals, rather than relying on just one, we can create more opportunities without passing those inflated marketing costs on to you.
Before we make any introductions, we get to know your preferences—things like your budget, geography, timeline, and other factors unique to your family. Then, we recommend the right mix of professionals for you. That might include adoption attorneys, other agencies, consultants, profile listing services, and self-networking opportunities. No two families get the same list.
What happens if we match with another source?
If you match through another trusted professional we connected you with, that professional will guide you through the rest of your adoption process.
You won’t owe us any additional matching or placement fees, and the steps you’ve already completed with us will remain on file, should you ever need to re-engage in the event of a failed adoption. Our goal is to help you reach your child in the best and quickest way possible—even if that means the match comes through someone else.
How long will we have to wait?
Most families who follow our process adopt within 1 to 18 months—sometimes in as little as 2 months.
At many traditional agencies, families can wait two to three years (or more) for a match, because they’re limited to that agency’s waitlist. Our approach opens the door to multiple matching sources at once, which creates far more opportunities and can dramatically shorten your wait.
What if our match falls through?
If a match through our agency doesn’t result in adoption, we refund 50% of the matching fee. This ensures your funds aren’t tied up, so you can keep moving forward with other opportunities.
Why should it matter to us that you’re a non-profit?
As a non-profit adoption agency, we’re not driven by profit margins or shareholder expectations. Our mission is to serve the people at the heart of adoption. Every dollar goes toward providing services, guidance, and support for adoptive families, birth parents, and the children who connect them.

How are your costs so much lower than bigger agencies?
Many large, nationwide agencies spend tens of thousands of dollars each month on advertising to attract expectant parents. Those costs are built into every family’s fees—one reason their total adoption costs often reach $80,000 or more.
Our families typically complete their adoptions for around $45,000, because we take a different approach. Instead of relying on a single, high-overhead waitlist, we connect you with multiple trusted matching sources based on your preferences. This creates more opportunities without massive ad costs—and without passing inflated fees on to you.
We also roll pregnancy-related living expenses into our matching fee so you can plan your budget with confidence, knowing there won’t be surprise bills later. And as a non-profit, our priority is building families, not maximizing revenue.
How do you support birth parents?
How do you support birth parents?
Birth parents receive compassionate, non-pressured guidance from the very first conversation. Support includes pregnancy-related living expenses during the match, adoption education and support, case management, six weeks of postpartum living expenses, and connection post-adoption to a welcoming community of other birth moms.
All of these measures are included in the fees you pay, so there are no surprise costs along the way.
Can anyone adopt through Adoption & Beyond?
We welcome all hopeful adoptive families nationwide (except in New York) who are ready to provide a safe, loving home for a child. Our services are open to everyone, and we do not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
If you can offer a stable, supportive environment and are willing to approach the adoption process with openness and respect, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Do we need a completed home study before we apply?
You do not need to have a completed home study before applying. If you live in Kansas or Missouri, we can complete your home study as part of the process. If you already have a current home study from another provider, we’ll review it to ensure it meets our requirements and is valid for the type of adoption you’re pursuing.
What does openness in adoption look like with your agency?
We practice open adoption, which means we facilitate communication and relationship-building between birth families and adoptive families both before and after placement. This typically includes getting to know each other during the matching process, staying in contact throughout the pregnancy, and maintaining an ongoing relationship after your baby comes home.
The level of openness is mutually agreed upon by both families and can include phone calls, texts, emails, photos, video calls, and in-person visits. These relationships often grow and evolve naturally over time, always with the child’s best interests at heart.
We believe open adoption benefits everyone involved—it gives children access to their full story and heritage, provides birth parents with peace of mind knowing their child is thriving, and helps adoptive families better understand and support their child’s identity and background.
Our team guides both families through this process, helping establish boundaries and expectations that work for everyone while fostering meaningful connections that can last a lifetime.
