Good news, folks! We are now a registered AmazonSmile Foundation recipient for our charitable organization. What does that mean exactly? Here’s a quick summary of this process.
What is AmazonSmile?
In October 2013, Amazon announced that it was launching a philanthropy program called AmazonSmile. This foundation lives under the larger Amazon brand, and acts as a different domain where Amazon shoppers can contribute to the charity or organization of their choice.
What does AmazonSmile entail?
You still get to enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop at smile.amazon.com, any physical item that you purchase (excluding Kindle e-books) qualifies for donation. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to a charity that you specify.
