About Jared Jared is my best friend, and I can’t imagine life without him. He is caring, intelligent, sensitive, and is a great listener. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and he has been a blessing for me during some of life’s rough moments. Jared is an awesome father and truly loves spending time with Kate and teaching her new things. I love that he remembers every detail of their time spent together.
About Stacy
Stacy is intelligent, kind, sensitive, and caring. She works hard, can always be counted on, and is a good friend to others. I most admire her patience and kindness and her willingness to use her gifts and talents to benefit others. Stacy has a deep capacity to accept and love people from all walks of life. She is a fabulous mother. She is great at helping Kate explore and learn about the world around her. She is patient with Kate, sensitive to her needs, and knows just how to comfort her with a hug, a kiss, or a well-timed tickle!
About Kate
Kate is 2 ½ years old and goes to “pre-school” one morning a week. She is very independent, smart, curious, adventurous, and tenacious. She loves to learn, read books, run, climb, and go to the zoo. She loves animals and has lots of energy. She is kind-hearted and shows affection through hugs and saying “I love you.” Her cousin, who is five months older than her, now has a “baby brother” and so Kate wants to be a “big sister.” We think she’ll be a great big sister and we can’t wait to add another son or daughter to our family.
Our Hobbies
As a family, we like to spend time outside going to the park, riding our bikes, hiking, and camping. We also like to play games, read, watch movies, and do puzzles. We like to attend university athletic events, go to the zoo, and spend time with friends and family. We love to spend time together as a family, and we have a lot of fun together. We take yearly summer vacations and usually take two or three weekend get-a-ways per year.
About Our Faith & Values
We greatly value faith and family togetherness. We believe in loving others as ourselves and in treating others the way we would like to be treated. We are active in our faith community, and we find a lot of love and support there. As parents, we want to be active in our children’s lives. We want them to know that they can always count on us and that we will always be there for them. We hope to raise them in a manner in which they seek to do good in whatever area they choose to work and serve.
About Our Home/Neighborhood
We absolutely love where we live! Our community has a large university, where Jared is employed, and as a result the community is pretty diverse. We live in a home that was built in the 1920’s and has been remodeled - we enjoy the character and charm that comes with living in an old home. The home has 4 bedrooms and a large yard to play in. Our neighborhood is full of kids from all backgrounds and ethnicities.
We are both so excited for the opportunity to bring another child into our family. We would like you to know that we would offer your baby the same love, support, and opportunities that we would provide for any child that God chooses to bring into our lives.
