Gerard & Heather |
Dear Birthparents,
We can’t begin to express the respect and admiration we have for you in considering adoption for your child.
Although we can not understand what you’re going through right now, we want you to know that you are a very strong,
loving & courageous person to put your child’s needs first. You are a true hero!
We will be married for nine years this October, and together for over 14 years. From the moment we met there was no
doubt that God intended for us to be together forever. For five years we grew as a couple before getting married,
which we believe has been the foundation for our strong marriage. We are best friends and our strong relationship
with each other and our son, Braeden, as well as our families and friends; provides a strong and stable family environment.
About Gerard
Gerard is the most genuine, sincere, trustworthy, caring, loving, and funniest person I know. I know a father when I see
one and I have always seen that in Gerard, even before Braeden was born. To watch Gerard with Braeden, whether it be
playing, tackling in a pile of pillows, or lying next to each other on the sofa reading a book or watching a movie;
it’s by far the most beautiful love I’ve ever seen.
About Heather
Heather is the sunshine of my life. Her warm smile and glowing eyes radiate from her beautiful face. She has a loving
and gentle heart that brings joy to everyone around her. Her caring nature and nurturing presence with Braeden is the
perfect image of motherhood. As I look back on my childhood, I can remember my mother’s love and never ending support.
As I look in Heather’s eyes today, I see that same endless love with Braeden, even more.
We were blessed with our son Braeden three years ago through adoption. The love Gerard and I have for each other has
always been tremendous and then Braeden came into our lives, and we learned of the love of our child. A love so strong
we could burst! Braeden is everything to us! He is a beautiful, smart, talented, funny, loving little boy. He’s
extremely animated and loves to sing and dance. Just as the days before Braeden was born and we longed to have a child
in our arms, we not only long to have another child to love and hold, but we long for the day we see Braeden with a
sister or brother.
About Friends & Family
Gerard is the youngest of six children. There are 16 grandchildren on his side of the family, so there are a lot of
cousins to play with! Heather has a younger sister. Braeden is the only grandchild so far on Heather’s side.
Both families are thrilled that we’re pursuing adoption again to expand our family. Our families and friends have
always been extremely positive and supportive of adoption. We have several family members who are adopted
themselves and who are adoptive parents. We also have a lot of friends who are adopted and who are adopted parents.
We have a very adoptive family environment. This will be beneficial when raising our children, because will have both
sides of adoption in their lives through family and friends.
Home/Neighborhood
We live north of the city in a development with lots children. Our neighborhood has a swimming pool, tennis courts,
playground, and volleyball. Our neighborhood has many social events throughout the year for families, such as Halloween
and Christmas parades, pool parties and Easter Egg hunts.
We live in a two-story traditional home with four bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms. We have a great playroom in our finished
basement and a playground in our fenced-in backyard. We spend a lot of time in our kitchen cooking, entertaining or just
spending time together. We can’t wait to add another seat to our family table! We also spend a lot of time outside,
barbequing in the backyard, playing on the swing set, or entertaining with family and friends.
About Career
Gerard is a Regional Business Manager for a Fortune 500 Medical Corporation. The best part of Gerard’s job is that he works from home!
Heather had a career in advertising, but after Braeden was born she became a stay-at-home mom.
This unselfish, loving act you have chosen for your baby will be the greatest gift in the world to an adoptive family. Regardless of what your decision is, we want you to know that we only want the best for you and your baby. You are both in our prayers. We would love to have the opportunity to meet you and if we are so blessed to be chosen, we would like to keep you aware of how your child is doing through letters and pictures sent periodically throughout the year. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us.
